Otis and Young Families: At-a-Glance Genealogy Charts

I decided to take the most basic genealogy information from my pages on the Otis, Young, and Carrier families, and organize it all into a type of quick-find genealogical chart. The Carrier family genealogy chart follows the Otis and Young families chart. Daniel H. Otis was the 4x great-grandson of Martha (Allen) Carrier, who was hanged as a "witch" during the Salem Witch Trials in Massachusetts. The detailed genealogy pages for the families can be found at each of the links above.

For Daniel's Haddam-roots genealogy, please see the page, Daniel H. Otis: Great-Grandson of John Bailey and Daniel Brainerd, Founders of Haddam, CT

The charts were created in Word, and include the following information for each individual:

  • Name (+ who they were son/daughter of)
  • Occupation
  • Born (+ Sign) I added each person's astrological sign because I find it interesting and fun.
  • Died
  • Age at Death
  • Cause of Death (if known)
  • Relation to Daniel H. Otis
  • Notes about named individual

All individuals are in order by their date of birth. If the information is not known for an individual it's either left blank or noted.

The informational headings repeat every three to four individuals, as it annoys me when I scroll through a huge chart and forget what the headings were, and then have to scroll all the way back up to the top of the chart just to refresh my memory!
